When she launched Newsletter Circle, Ciler didn’t have a presence in the creator space. No credibility, no name recognition. Just a corporate career and a handful of failed content creation experiments.
But then, an experiment went well, and gave her a clue. There was interest in "how to build a newsletter". She thought if she could share what other creators were doing, she could learn, build relationships, and carve out her own place.
So she reached out to big names—ones who were already building in public, already helping others. She knew they were likely to say yes not because of what she could offer them, but because of who they were.
Her first few interviews gave her a foothold. From there, every single piece of growth, visibility, and learning came from relationships.
She kept reaching out to people and growing her audience (now almost 5000 subscribers) through interviews, guest posts, and every kind of collaboration.
