I forever bounce between "celebrating the small wins" and "my faraway dream is so unachievable" when it comes to writing online. It's good to be reminded of these tactics to remain balanced. Thanks.
This post actually makes a ton of sense. I had a very similar problem years and years ago when I first started writing about not celebrating my wins.
What it did was cause me to get angry and believe that I wasn't making progress even though I had written three novels which ending of itself is a huge accomplishment. However, because I was comparing myself to people who were publishing one book a month I saw it as a massive failure.
Now I look back and realize that even though that was something that should have been celebrated and kept me on track it didn't because I got my own way. Now I take every opportunity to celebrate the wins that I do have like just now finishing and uploading a new novel. Having a slew of ideas for substack. Among other things
Great article, Alberto! Many points resonated with me, including the growing pains with your kids…I have 2 young kiddos and both have had a similar trajectory! 😂 Your Notion board looks fantastic. I use Goodnotes for my digital journaling but am now interested in trying Notion out. Also…Oasis tribute band sounds awesome. I love to sing and play piano and hope to make more time for it. I love your suggestion that we should have multiple creative pursuits to handle the emotional ebbs and flows in our careers. Thanks for sharing these great insights.
After running a successful blog by myself, I was considering launching a podcast interviewing Italian digital entrepreneurs. I found another guy who just started doing the same.
I reached out proposing a collaboration, we met in person, than I joined him. Initially, I was doing just a few things.
Then we went 50-50.
It's impossible to know whether the workload is always evenly distributed. We developed a friendship, so we know that we're free to speak about the things that are going wrong.
To deal with the downs we talked a lot. And worked on our personal growth first.

Thank you.
I'm on a rollercoaster too!
Fantastic, thanks for these ☺️

This is a great thing to learn. Congrats!
Just wanted to say I really liked this post. Fifteen years in the journey I can relate to tiny iterations over time.
Thanks!

Thank you Marisa. Don't neglect music.
It's a huge regret for me
You could probably sell that Notion Celebration board. 💡
It's a basic gallery, I doubt it would make a splash
A splash isn’t required. Just find some Notion beginners who’d love to have something like it. Use it a bonus if nothing else. 👍🏽
Yes, I’m already doing it in my Italian business.
Still have to try here on Substack. Lead magnet delivery isn’t prioritized here 😄
Who's your business partner?
How did u meet?
Why did u agree to become business partners?
How has the ups & downs of business affected your relationship?
How do u split / share the workload?

We usually aren't aware how much we evolve over time. Relatively short time!
Great read that made me think. Thank you.
You're a singer?? What tribute band?
In my youth I was part of a classical choir as one of the leading tenors.
I'm the singer and lead guitarist of a Oasis tribute band
Wow. Cool.😎👍
