This works well, if nothing else it allows you to meet new people. I started to implement this strategy last month and it's helped me drive up my own interactions. Being a giunine human being is such a lost thing that those who do it stick out. As always sir great post.

I’ve done e this too and find my views, followers and subscribers immediately increase. I do find it hard to stay focused though, as I get side tracked by posts that aren’t relevant to my topic.

Number 3 is so important. You can tell when someone replies purely for engagement, or to try and funnel. Engaging by furthering the conversation or offering genuine praise stands out like a lighthouse.
