I'm a Creator and I Really Wish You Could Be One Too

An era ago, I fell in love with scientific research. I joined the PhD program in computer science at my University. Being at the frontier of innovation, meeting passionate researchers from around the world, teaching motivated students felt like dream.
And a dream it remained.
The lack of money and the toxic environment turned my life into a grind. I considered quitting, but I thoughed it out. At least now I can say I have a PhD...
It’s clichè, but this story has a silver lining. This failure taught me that I couldn’t stand working under someone else. Especially when he didn’t make the effort to understand my situation…
This pushed me to find alternative ways to make a living. So, in 2010, I became a blogger and entrepreneur.
A creator solopreneur—that’s what I am
I’ve never become a celebrity. I still work overtime. Uncertainty ruins my nights.
But I never wished I kept working in academia. Not once.
This path is freeing and fulfilling. I love helping people with my content, products, and services. I love being in control of my time.
Becoming a father in 2019 made the benefits of solopreneurship even more evident. I see fathers (and mothers, too) forced to spend only the leftovers of their days with their children. The whole family suffers.
I spent 10X more hours with my child than those parents did with theirs. Our relationship is unbelievable. I can decipher his problems and calm him down. He hangs on my every word. We play rock songs together (he plays the drums, I sing and play guitar)!

And I know this life and career can bring fulfillment to so many people.
Through these years I talked to lots of beginner and aspiring creators. I also helped them with my content, products and services. Too many are slowed down by inefficient workflows, self-destructive mindsets, or just excessive, misguided, and confusing advice.
